I’m Sam – engineer, educator, 3D-printing enthusiast, and owner of Arcanics 3D. In our culture of consumerism, creative work is increasingly outsourced to algorithms or replaced with mass-produced products. Even as I build this website, an AI bot is offering to write this content for me.

At the same time, there’s a growing divide between STEM-type creative work and artistic expression. In a world that expects everyone to be either a right-brain or a left-brain, and ne’er the twain shall meet, everyone ends up with a half a brain.

I started Arcanics 3D because I believe it’s important to remind people that they were made to create, not just consume, and that the lines between form and function are blurry. We offer normal 3D printing services and have some fun items for sale in our shop, but our biggest goal is to empower innovation by taking a personal interest in what you want to create and helping you realize it, no matter what your skill level is.
